Fally

Daniela Fally has been performing on stage since she was 19. She started off as an actress, them became a musical singer and finally found her home in the opera world.

Before her engagement at the Staatsoper Wien, she was part of the ensemble of the Volksoper Wien, which gave her the opportunity of acquiring a wide-ranging repertoire.

In 2006, she debuted as Fiakermilli in Richard Strauss’ »Arabella« under the baton of

Franz Welser Moest - a sensational performance, which paved the way for an international opera career.

Since then, Fally has been performing at Europe’s leading opera stages as well as concert halls, such as the Wiener Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Bayrische Staatsoper München, Staatsoper Hamburg, Semperoper Dresden, at the Salzburger Festspiele, the Bregenzer Festspiele, the Opernfestspiele München, the Seefestspiele Mörbisch, the Lucerne Festival, at the Musikverein Wien, the Prinzregententheater in Munich, as well as in Japan, China and Dubai.

 At the Wiener Staatsoper Fally performed Sophie in »Der Rosenkavalier«, the title role Zerbinetta in »Adriane auf Naxos«, Marie in »Fille du Régiment« next to Juan Diego Florez, Olympia in »Contes d'Hoffmann« alongside Piotr Beczala and Sophie in Massenet’s »Werther«, amongst others.

 Recently, Fally celebrated her stage debuts at the Lyric Opera in Chicago, the Opéra Bastille Paris as well as the Salzburger Osterfestspiele under the baton of Christian Thielemann.

 In 2006, she was awarded the Eberhard-Waechter-Gesangsmedaille for her interpretation of Adele in »Die Fledermaus«.
